CVL Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Since its founding in 2010, the CVL has focused on the vision of its founder, Dr. Denise C. Park, to understand what makes a mind vital and how to keep it that way for life. Thanks to research scientists, faculty, staff, students, and generous support for the CVL, we can continue her vision and pursuit of research that will lead to cognitive health for life.

In celebration of the lifetime achievements of Dr. Park and the collective accomplishments of the faculty and staff at the CVL over the past 10 years, the Center celebrated its 10th anniversary on May 20, 2022. The dinner gala was held at the Dallas Museum of Art with Carole and Scott Murray acting as the dinner chairs and Myrna and Bob Schlegel acting as honorary dinner co-chairs.

The night’s biggest surprises came from CVL Advisory Council member, Greg Boydston who announced a personal $100,000 donation to the Denise C. Park Research, Excellence & Innovation fund, and an additional $200,000 donation from the Texas Instruments Alumni Association. You can read more about Greg in the article below.
