The purpose of our research is to better understand the relationship between human cognition and brain activity. To do this, we use a combination of electrophysiological (EEG & ERP) and functional neuroimaging (fMRI) techniques.

EEG & ERP involve measuring the brain's electrical activity. The general procedure involves placing several electrodes at different locations on the scalp, and measuring the activity through a computer interface.

fMRI measures brain activity by detecting the magnetic properties of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood. The general procedure involves lying in an MRI scanner while completing a task on a computer.

We typically have openings for participants in each of these types of studies, along with studies that involve only completing tasks on a computer (no EEG/ERP or fMRI).
